Microneedling is a procedure that utilises fine needles to create microchannels in the skin, thereby stimulating the body's natural wound healing response to support skin renewal, repair, and rejuvenation.
Imedpen microneedling treatments are designed to help lift, tighten, and boost the skin.
I utilise Innoaesthetics and Juliette Armand brands for microneedling procedures. Their product ranges encompass high-quality formulations designed for aesthetic practitioners and end users alike. These products feature innovative active ingredients that work synergistically to deliver optimal results tailored to the client's specific skin concerns. All formulations are endorsed by medical professionals and dermatologists and have undergone comprehensive laboratory testing to ensure safety and efficacy.
During the initial consultation, I will review your skin condition and recommend a suitable treatment. For example, if you are experiencing rosacea, I will suggest appropriate products to address that concern. If your goal is skin rejuvenation, microneedling combined with hyaluronic acid can provide the desired revitalization.

Before any microneedling treatment, it is best to have skin makeup free and cleaned thoroughly as well as avoiding sun exposure for 24 hours prior.
Microneedling treatments are relatively pain free and feels like a vibrating sensation on the skin with very light pressure applied.
Skin reactions depend on the individual; however, skin will appear pink/red for around 24 hours. Other reactions after the treatment may include tightness and skin flaking. Skin will be back to normal within 7 days.
Generally, for optimum results, a course of treatments will take place every 6 weeks for a series of 3-6 treatments. This is dependent on what is being treated.
Microneedling offers treatments for all skin types without the need for any anasethetic with minimal downtime.
Some erythema may last up to 2 days post-treatment. Mineral-based makeup may be used after 24 hours and most can return to normal activities after microneedling treatments.
Your therapist will advise you on what products are best to be used on your skin after treatments. This will be prescribed based on the skin condition being treated and skin type. SPF 50 will also be recommended.
