Cryotherapy is an innovative treatment that offers a quick, effective, and safe solution for the removal of skin imperfections. Procedures typically range from 5 to 30 seconds, resulting in minimal downtime.
The device used resembles a pen applicator and delivers a fine jet of high-pressure nitrous oxide, allowing the clinician to work with millimeter precision. This method destroys targeted tissue by freezing the intercellular fluid, effectively eliminating the problematic cells while avoiding damage to surrounding healthy skin.
Cryotherapy treatment is a safe & effective method of removing a number of different skin imperfections.

The area treated is frozen by Cryotherapy. This kills the localised cells in the area which cause them to shrivel and die. The treated area may go darker over a few weeks, but will return to normal pimented skin in about 6 weeks.
The duration of the treatment time will depend on the surface area and the thickness of the tissue being treated. Depending on the clinical evaluation of the depth of the area, the clinician will choose an application time from 1 to 30 seconds.
The cost of treatment will depend on the size & type of skin imperfection/s that the individual needs treating. The clinician will discuss the cost with you prior to the appointment.
Cryotherapy is a relatively low risk procedure. It delivers a freeze directly to the area, and not the healthy surrounding tissue. The cryotherapy device is both CE and FDA registered.
There will be a pain sensation similar to a stinging nettle on the skin when the Nitrous Oxide reaches the bottom of the area. There might be a little residual stinging for a few minutes after treatment, this is normal.
